Did You Know?

  • The winning band, Hormónar, had the opportunity to participate in two projects under the Stage Europe Network and performed in Aix en Provence, France and Tallinn, Estonia. In the past, female participation in the Music Experiments had been relatively low, ranging from 10-15% of participants. However, this year, the percentage of female participants increased to 24%, which was a welcome change. Magnús Jóhann Ragnarson, the keyboardist, was selected as the winner of the IME for the second time this year, having also won the award in the previous year. He went on to become famous for his musical performances with various other musicians.
