Did You Know? Despite the ongoing impact of Covid-19, the IME still went ahead as planned at the end of March. The aftermath of Covid-19 did cause some disruptions, and fewer bands than usual registered to participate. As a result, there were only three semifinals instead of the usual four. For the first time in IME history, an individual was crowned the winner, rather than a band. The winner, KUSK, went on to participate in the Stage Europe Network project in the Netherlands and performed at the Westerpop music festival in Delft.
