Various facts from 2007:
- A total of 48 bands participated in the Music Experiments, but only 11 made it to the finals. The finals were held at Hafnarhús, and this was the first time that the Music Experiments finals were held outdoors. 575 people had a great time. The judging panel deliberated for a long time in their private quarters and reached a conclusion around 10 pm.
- To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Music Experiments, photographer Björg Sveinsdóttir exhibited her photos from the past 20 years of the competition on a projector.
- Icelandair became the main sponsor of the Music Experiments.
- The judging panel for the year 2007 was composed of the following members:
