Did You Know?
- Music Experiments were now held in one week, in the form of a music festival.
- The 50-band “quota” was established: first come, first serve-rule for the first time.
- Girls are especially encouraged to participate.
- Each band now performs 2 songs in the semi-finals and 3 in the final, to shorten the competition.
- Studio Time with Curver and Alex from Kimono chose Mammút as the most notable band and offered professional production and recording for one song as a reward.
- Guðmundur Óskar bassist and Jóhann Hjartarson keyboardist of the band Svitabandið, who took part on the 4th evening, later joined the band Hjaltalín.
