The number of bands increased as the competition progressed, and when it was time to start, thirty bands were registered to play, although one of them, Hin r\u00f3sfingra\u00f0a morgungy\u00f0ja, was unable to participate.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The following bands competed<\/strong>: Centaur, DRON, E.K. Bjarnason band, Englabossar, F\u00edlharm\u00f3n\u00edusveitin, Gift, H\u00e1lfsj\u00f6, Hin r\u00f3sfingra\u00f0a morgungy\u00f0ja, Hivo Pivo, \u00cdslandssjokki\u00f0, L\u00f3tus, Medium, Meinvillingarnir, Misr\u00e6mur, Mogo homo, Nefrennsli, Oxsm\u00e1, \u00d3\u00fearfa afskiptasemi, Pass, Reflex, S.h. draumur, Sharem, Signultus, Sokkabandi\u00f0, Strados, Te fyrir tvo, Tik tak, Trubat, Tr\u00fa\u00f0urinn, \u00datr\u00e1s, and V\u00e9bandi\u00f0.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><u>Did You Know?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The abbreviation DRON stood for the Greater Reykjav\u00edk Dance Band (I.
