The 2026 semi-finals are held March 20 through 23 at the Northern Lights Hall of Harpa, and the finals are held in the same venue on March 28. Participation is open to young people aged 13\u201325 by submitting an application on our website.<\/p><p>The IME semi-finals take 4\u20135 nights with about 40\u201350 musical events competing to get into the finals. Usually 10\u201312 bands make it to the finals.<\/p><p>Participating in the Music Experiments is a great experience that is invaluable for creative up-and-coming musicians.<\/p><p>In recent years, the National Broadcasting Service has broadcast the final night on the radio station R\u00e1s 2 and streamed the video through R\u00daV as well as preparing a TV show that is shown later.<\/p><p>Hitt H\u00fasi\u00f0 is in charge of the Music Experiments production and makes sure everything is of the highest caliber, from the venues and staff to the technical execution.<\/p><p>The Music Experiments is a partner to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stagenetwork.eu\/\">Stage Europe Network<\/a>.<\/p><p>Want to know more about how to register or how many songs the bands need to play?
